FCB1010 Basic Connections

The Behringer FCB1010 is a MIDI based foot controller pedal.  It has 100 memory positions to store MIDI controller data for up to 5 separate MIDI devices.  

It connects to other MIDI gear using standard MIDI cables.  The typical connection approach would be:

1. MIDI out on FCB1010 to MIDI in on first MIDI unit

2. MIDI thru on first MIDI unit to the MIDI in on the next MIDI unit

3. Repeat step 2 for each additional MIDI unit

Then when a preset button the on the FCB is pressed, MIDI commands will flow to each of your MIDI gear units.

Once you get your FCB, you should do the following things:

• Read the manual.  This is not plug and play gear, and you will need some knowledge about how to program and use it.

• Calibrate your expression pedals.  Click here for details on how to do this.

• Connect to your other MIDI gear

• Program the unit as desired to perform the actions you need

• Test your programs to see if all works correctly

• Consider getting a PC MIDI interface and download and install the PC Editor software
