CallAudit Used to Prohibit Telephone Solicitors

As Seen on the CNBC Television program Steals and Deals, May 10, 1996

CallAudit was recently featured on a segment of the CNBC Television program Steals and Deals. This show aired on May 9, 1996 and May 10, 1996 at 7:30PM. In this segment a Mountain Systems customer, Russell Smith (E-Mail address russ-smith@russ-smith.com), had used CallAudit to track incoming calls from unwanted callers.

Recent changes in the telecommunications laws allow telephone customers to prohibit telephone solicitors from calling again if the customer requests they not call their number. If you request that a marketing group put you on their DO NOT CALL LIST, then they are prohibited from calling again. If they continue to call, they can be fined as much as $500 per call. This customer had a number of solicitors that continued to call after the request was made. The customer used the CallAudit call log information to force then to pay fines for their repeated calls.  Thus far Russell has collected over $2000 in fines from groups that continued to call after he requested he be placed on their DO NOT CALL LIST.

Now with CallAudit Voice, return calls from telephone solicitors can be automatically answered by the software. A message just for the telephone solicitor can be played.
